Ok.... I have debated about this all day and I am going to go ahead and do it!
Money saving mom and
Life as mom are hosting a freezer challenge, the goal is to buy only produce and dairy if need be and for the entire month of January eat from what you have on hand.
I looked in our deep freezer, pantry, refrigerator and the freezer above the refrigerator and we are in need of cleaning out. I am not sure what type of meals I am going to come up with but I am going to give it a shot.
I will still have to take care of buying pet food, at least for our dog and a few toiletries but I plan to get them with
ECB's at
CVS.
My own goals for the Eat From the Pantry Challenge:
1. Take detailed inventory of my freezers and pantry. We have icky weather possibly coming in so this will give me something to do tomorrow.
2. Toss all the stuff that has gone bad or is
unrecognizable.
3. Come up with a menu, hopefully be able to use much of what I had already planned.
4. Go to the store once a week for milk, fruit and veggies. My goal is to spend no more than $25 a week. I will let you know weekly how I am doing.
